2026 International ArtScience Olympiad (IASO) to Focus on AIGC Innovation

Los Angeles, USA  – We are pleased to announce the upcoming 2026 International ArtScience Olympiad (IASO), also known as the International Olympiad ArtScience Contest (IOASC), which will place a central focus on Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) and its innovative applications in the intersection of art and science. This year’s event will explore a diverse range of AIGC-related themes and categories, including but not limited to AI-assisted film and theater creation, algorithm-driven visual art, human-AI collaborative creative works, and the ethical and aesthetic exploration of generative AI technologies.

Building on the remarkable success of the 2025 IASO, which was successfully hosted in China, the 2026 edition is set to return to Asia. The 2025 event achieved unprecedented participation scale, attracting over 1,800 contestants from renowned institutions worldwide, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University College London (UCL), Tsinghua University, Peking University, etc. This overwhelming global response has solidified the decision to continue hosting IASO in Asia, aiming to further promote cross-cultural exchange and interdisciplinary innovation in art and science.
