2025 International ArtScience Olympiad Concludes in Beijing, Followed by Exhibition at Songzhuang Art Museum

Beijing, China – The 2025 International ArtScience Olympiad (IASO), also known as the International Olympiad ArtScience Contest (IOASC), concluded successfully in Beijing on August 1, marking the largest edition in the event’s history. This year, 1,806 participants from 39 countries gathered to explore the theme of “Infinity” through interdisciplinary creativity.

Organized under the joint guidance of the IASO Organizing Committee and the International OlympSciArt Committee, this year’s Olympiad also marked China’s first time hosting the event. A distinguished panel of jurors—including leading scientists, renowned contemporary artists, and interdisciplinary innovation experts—assessed submissions based on three core criteria: scientific rigor, artistic originality, and technical execution. The evaluation framework reflects IASO’s mission: dismantling disciplinary silos and cultivating young creators who embody both analytical and expressive excellence.

Following the conclusion of the Olympiad, the International Olympiad ArtScience Exhibition opens on August 2 at Songzhuang Art Museum, running through September 10. Located in Songzhuang—Beijing’s renowned “artist village” known for its vibrant creative ecosystem—the exhibition will showcase a curated selection of standout works from this year’s competition. Featuring projects that integrate AI, interactive sensors, and dynamic projection technologies with diverse artistic media, the exhibition highlights a growing global movement toward deeper fusion between science and the arts.

Admission to the Exhibition is free of charge and requires no advance reservation, though visitors should note that other exhibitions at Songzhuang Art Museum may have separate ticketing policies. By opening its doors to students, families, art enthusiasts, and international audiences alike, the exhibition aims to expand public engagement with art-science innovation and deepen cultural understanding around this year’s theme of “Infinity.”
